We're in the midst of allergy season and we've run out of tissues...if you happen to have a box laying around at home that you're not using, our noses would sure appreciate it!
LA: We were off to Gym first thing this morning! That's always a great way to wake ourselves up! Back in class, we worked on writing sentence fragments into complete sentences by either adding a subject or predicate. We also worked on filling out a main idea and supporting detail chart as we partner read the story, A Walk In The Desert. For our practice page, we worked on figuring out new, unfamiliar words by using the surrounding words and rules for spelling long /a/ sounds in words. This was also a great review for our spelling words this week.
HW: Weekly homework is due Friday. This is the final call for Book Orders!Highlight order forms were sent home today...parents it would be helpful if you could still fill it out even if you are not interested in ordering...our class can earn prizes. Cereal box project books need to be approved by Friday! Be prepared to share what you are reading. Please make sure to send back the teal colored conference/help wanted paper as soon as possible!
Math: More compass work today. It was fun learning how to copy line segments and make inscribed regular hexagons with only our compasses and straight edges today. It took a little bit of practice, but everyone got the hang of it pretty quickly!
HW: Math box and study link 1.8 are due tomorrow. The unit 1 test will be given on Tuesday!
Social Studies: (Grannan) We had a great review today over chapter 1 to help us prepare for the first test which will be given on Friday.
