We've had a terrific Tuesday today at school!
LA: We spent quite a bit of time on subjects and predicates this morning during grammar. We also learned about compound subjects and predicates. In addition to that, we completed an activity using similes (one of our RIT words this week!) and worked with our vocabulary words from the story in our basals. We ended our time before Vocabulary Vine with a discussion and worksheet about main idea and supporting details.
HW: Book orders are due tomorrow! Weekly homework is due Friday and the simile page and grammar page 8 are due tomorrow if they weren't completed in class.
Math: We had more fun with compasses today, learning about concentric and congruent circles. It's been fun exploring how to use compasses, even though ours aren't up for any awards in tightness...we do what we can!
HW: Journal page 17-19 should be completed in not done in class and math box and study link 1.7 are due tomorrow.
Social Studies: (Woods) We had a great review today over chapter 1 to help us prepare for the first test which will be given on Thursday.
HW: All students received a half sheet of paper that is a chapter 1 study guide. Test will be given on Thursday. Interactive Student Notebook page 5 is due Thursday.
Don't forget that Picture Day is Friday! Say Cheese!
