Another busy day!
LA: We had computer lab this morning, where we continued to work on our skill practice during Study Island. We also worked on combining sentences in grammar, long /e/ words in spelling and working with dictionary entries. We had a great visit with our first grade reading buddies as well.
HW: Weekly homework is due tomorrow. Remember-OOPS SLIPS WILL BE GIVEN FOR NO PARENT SIGNATURE! Spelling test is also tomorrow--be sure you're ready! Please return the yellow forms for our themed basket as well.
Math: We worked with name collection boxes today. This was a review for most of us.
HW: Math box 2.2 and study link 2.2 are due tomorrow.
Social Studies: (Woods) We had a busy day today. Not only did we read 4 sections in our books, we also practiced using Interactive Desk Maps with partners. We were practicing things like finding compass roses, intermediate and cardinal directions, lines of latitude and lines of longitude. We had a lot of learning fun!
HW: None
Notes came home today regarding donations for the Make-A-Wish fundraiser that Northpoint is hosting. We are super excited about this opportunity to help one of our very own families. This note/email is different than the one that came home regarding donations for classroom baskets. Please forward this information to all your family and friends. There will be a notice about the golf outing portion of this day very soon!
