Well...our first official "indoor recess" is in the books! :)
LA: Thursday mornings are busy for us around here. We started out our morning together by going to computer lab and working on LA skills in Study Island. We headed back to class to work on some grammar skill review. We also discussed assonance and metaphors. We headed over to the Minds in Motion Lab and then onto reading buddies with Mrs. McGann's class. It's such a delight to see the first graders faces light up when the "big" kids walk in! We finished up our morning together with writing and Vocabulary Vine.
HW: Don't forget that weekly homework is due tomorrow. Make sure that parent signature line at the top is filled out indicating that the story has been read out loud sometime this week and that the reading minutes are also filled out. Be prepared for your spelling test and assessment over this week's story as well. Last but not least, don't forget to bring the book that you are planning on reading for your cereal box project so I can approve it.
Math: We started to review for the math test that will be given on Tuesday and worked on more compass practice and geometry art.
HW: Study for Tuesday's test. Don't forget that page 25 in your journal is a great resource.
Social Studies: (Woods) Today was the chapter 1 test.
HW: None
Don't forget that tomorrow is picture day!
