We had lots going on today! Whew!
LA: We spent more time learning 5 new roots in Vocabulary Vine this morning. This program is lots of fun and it's exciting to see the kids putting new unfamiliar words together by using their strategies. We also got to spend some time with our reading buddies today. Mrs. Slater joined us for 1/2 hour with the start of a bullying program. She will be with us for the next 5 Wednesdays talking about this very important subject! We also did some word sorting with our long o words in spelling and work with map skills today.
HW: Fluency and Flow is due Friday. Friday will also be assessment day, including the spelling test. Book orders are also due on Friday.
Math: Today we had a practice test to help prepare for tomorrow's unit 2 test. Most kids did great! Students also had a chance to work on Accelerated Math. Please remind your child this is an at school project...it should not be done at home for homework! :)
HW: Review for tomorrow's test.
Health: Students were in groups today going over lesson 4 in chapter 1. It was a great review on friendships and how to handle conflict resolution.
HW: Questions 1-4 on page 37 are due tomorrow. No credit will be given for incomplete sentences. The chapter 1 test will be given on Friday.
School pictures are back and we have proof...we are just as cute as we thought we were! Please check blue folders for these! Also--Art Smart volunteers that weren't able to make it to the meeting today...information should be in blue folders regarding our Art Smart Presenters, Helpers and schedule!
