Tuesday, Tuesday!

What a busy day we had today!

LA: We worked with conjunctions again this morning and using them to help us write compound and complex sentences. We also learned about dependent and independent clauses today in our sentences.

HW: Fluency and Flow is due on Friday. The spelling test will also be given on Friday along with the other usual assessments. Some students had to bring home the grammar sheet to continue working on tonight. This was done in class and some weren't finished when it was time for Gym.

Special thanks to the Drye and Lindzy family for offering to send in ISTEP+ snacks. We still have two days we need snacks for.

Math: We continued work with place value today. We used calculators and experimented with adding and subtracting large numbers.

HW: Math box and study link 2.4 along with the extra worksheet are all due tomorrow.

Health: Today we learned about the 5 sense organs. We had a great discussion on the different parts of each sense organ and what they are all responsible for.

HW: The students will have a quiz over the 5 sense organs on Thursday. This will be an open book assessment.

Don't forget that we are still collecting fund-raiser envelopes. If you haven't turned yours in yet, it's not to late.

Things to watch for in blue folders tonight: PTO newsletter and the Family Game Night and Picnic RSVP. Please make sure you send this back in tomorrow so PTO has an accurate count of families and plenty of food!
