Wednesday, October 18

I can't believe today is the last day of the first nine weeks!  Where is our time going???

Interesting Fact of the Day: Porcupines float in water!

LA: We're still busy learning about all of the skills this week's story brings with it.  Today's focus was on sorting spelling words, creating complex sentences and using main ideas to create summaries.  We also spent more time editing, fixing and rewriting our Red Ribbon Week writing.

HW: Weekly homework is due Friday--don't forget parent signatures on top and for the reading minutes.  The final draft of Red Ribbon Writing is due tomorrow--don't forget to turn in your sloppy copy with your color editing sheet attached.  Book orders are due next Tuesday.

Math: We continued on our journey of learning all sorts of  division strategies today.  We focused specifically on double digit divisors.

HW: Math box and study link 4.2 along with the next 2 packet pages are due tomorrow.

We had a great Art Smart lesson today, presented by Mrs. King.  Special thanks to Mrs. Stevens, Mrs. Schneider, Mrs. Rippey, Mrs. Marsh, Mrs. Day,  and Mrs. Roberts for all the extra help!
