Interesting Fact of the Day: Honey is the only food that doesn't spoil!
LA: We continued on with our story this week, reading it aloud together. We also worked on commas in a series, reviewed subjects and predicates and went over how the setting effects the plot. We also worked really hard on writing our rough drafts for our writing workshop. There has been some confusion with some of our friends, that they need to write 9 full pages of story. This is not the case. The books will have 9 pages of story and illustrations together...not all writing.
HW: Weekly homework packet is due Friday. The rough draft is due tomorrow.
Math: We spent the day working on angles again today. Today's focus was triangles, congruent triangles and congruent angles.
HW: Math journal pages 75-77, math boxes 3.6, study link 3.6 and extra sheet are due tomorrow.
Social Studies: (Grannan) We finished 3.3 today, and then plugged onto sections 3.4-3.6. We ended the day with a review game! This chapter is filled with lots of important names and information.
Western Region States and Capitals Quiz (Please note: this map includes Arizona and New Mexico which will not be tested. It does not have Alaska and Hawaii which will be tested.). When you take the quiz, the state will always be the circle in the top left corner of the state and the capital will always be the circle closest to the middle of the state.
