LA: We began our next story this morning, Time for Kids, Forests of the World. This is a great informational article full of facts! This week we are going to be focusing on combining sentences and using conjunctions in grammar. For our practice skills we will be working on comparing and contrasting with Venn Diagrams and using resources such as libraries and media centers. Lastly, we started typing our books in the computer lab!

HW: Weekly homework packet is due Friday. Keep working on illustrations for your writer's workshop book, RIT test over all 15 words on Friday.
Math: We worked with tessellations today! We had a lot of fun exploring different polygons that make a regular tessellation.
HW: Finish journal page 83 and math box 3.8 are due tomorrow. Extra Credit Opportunity--create a tessellation.
Social Studies: (Grannan) We finished up reading the sections in chapter 3. We also did some partner review work to go over all the different tribes in this chapter.
HW: Chapter 3 test will be given on week from today!
