It's Red Ribbon Week!

Interesting Fact of the Day: Sound travels about 4 times faster in water than in air.

Don't forget to wear a hat tomorrow!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone this week at conferences!

LA: We jumped into the last story of Unit 1 this morning.  It's titled, Pipiolo and the Roof Dogs.  Our vocabulary skill is using a thesaurus to find synonyms.  Our Vocabulary words are canceled, moistened, transformed, cooperation, theory, fragrance, celebration, and variety.  Our comprehension skill is cause and effect.  In grammar, we are focusing on correcting run-on sentences.  More r-controlled vowel sounds in spelling this week.
