What A Day!

Our days keep going faster and faster and faster...yikes!  We have so much to do in so little time!

Interesting Fact Of The Day: There are between 5,000 and 7,00 tigers kept as pets in the United States.

LA:  We're just one chapter away from the finish and the suspense is killing us!  We'll be finishing up our novel tomorrow and taking the final test on Friday.  In addition to reading chapter 21 today, we continued our work on characters, plot development, figurative language and vocabulary.  We also worked on script writing in groups.  This will be the speaking standard assessment for this quarter.  The students are picking a specific scene from the book and acting it out.  Each child must have a speaking part and be an active member of their group.

HW: Finish comprehension questions.  Use your study guide to help prepare for Friday's test...another great resource is all the comprehension questions we have done.  Don't forget to continue to work on your script.

Math: Lattice vs. Partial Products today.  Mrs. Helman introduced/reviewed both concepts today to continue our work on multiplication of larger numbers.

HW: Finish journal pages 50 and 55.  Math box and study links 2.8 and 2.9 are due tomorrow as well.

Social Studies: (Woods) We played a review game to help prepare for next Monday's test.

HW: Study for the chapter 2 test and the test over the Southwest Region.  Don't forget to finish Interactive Student Notebook page 14.
