I hope everyone had a safe and fun filled long weekend. We jumped right back into things this morning!
LA: We're continuing to read Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. The kids really seem to enjoy the novel! I hope you are hearing a lot about it at home. Did they tell you what cabin they would be in if they were campers at Camp Half Blood? Be sure to ask them about it! We also started creating Greek vases that tell a mythological story. We started back into Vocabulary Vine this morning, which is our study of Greek and Latin roots. Today, we focused on the Latin root per.
HW: Finish the Greek vases (must be colored in color pencils-browns, reds, yellows, tans), study for your vocabulary quiz over chapter 8's words, and finish comprehension questions.
Math: We learned how to "unsquare" numbers today. This followed our lesson on squaring numbers last Thursday.
HW: Math boxes and study link 1.8 are due tomorrow. The extra sheet is also due. The first math test has been moved to Friday of this week.
Social Studies: (Woods) We played a great review Jeopardy game today to help prepare for Thursday's Chapter 1 test.
HW: Study for the Chapter 1 test which will be given on Thursday.
