A new feature to our blog...interesting fact of the day:
Armadillos can walk underwater.----Who knew?!?!?!?
LA: I was super excited to be a direct part of the novel study today as Mrs. Helman was out of the building taking care of some things. It was a lot of fun to see the passion and excitement of the student's faces as I was reading the chapter and going over the figurative language terms. I know we are all going to be sad to see this novel study end next week! We took our vocabulary quiz over chapter 15 today and started to prepare for tomorrow's quiz as well. We also typed up our Text to World Connections finally...our computers weren't cooperating earlier this week!
HW: Final draft of Greek Myths are due tomorrow (many finished during class time!) as well as your comprehension questions from chapter 16. Don't forget to study your 5 vocabulary words as well!
Math: We had a great time learning about reaction times today and sorting the data! It was a lot of fun to test our reaction times by doing a grab test!
HW: Finish pages 40-41 if you didn't get done with your partner and complete math box and study link 2.5.
Social Studies: We had our first visit with Officer Redman from the St. Joe County Police for our DARE program. We will be spending the next 9 weeks learning about the importance of saying "NO" to drugs and alcohol.
Have you checked out the Midwest States and Capitals quiz online yet? Check yesterday's post for the links! What a great way to practice for next week's quiz!
