It's turning out to be a great day...if you're a duck! :( Don't forget...the Northpointopoly is going on now! Bring your dollar on Friday and wear your jammies!
LA: We continued on with our novel study this morning, reading chapter 15 together. We also took the vocabulary quizzes over chapters 13 and 14! Overall, we're doing a FANTASTIC job on vocabulary...there are some tough words in this novel! We also started writing our very own myths today...they will be hung up on the bulletin board with the vases we created last week!
HW: Finish comprehension questions from chapter 15, have your rough draft of your myth written and study for the vocabulary quiz!
Math: Our lesson over story problems today had some of us struggling. This is such an important skill...we spent quite a bit of time going over the steps and practicing, practicing, practicing! We worked really hard on recognizing the information that isn't needed and getting rid of the "junk" before breaking the problem into smaller pieces.
HW: Math journal pages 37 and 38, along with math box and study link 2.4 are due tomorrow.
Social Studies: (Woods) We continued on with chapter 2 today. Together, we read sections 2.2-2.5. After each section, we spent some time as a class coming up with a summary that recapped the main events and ideas from each section. These summaries were written in their Interactive Student Notebooks and will be a great study tool for the chapter 2 test.
HW: Don't forget--the Midwest states and capitals quiz will be given on Monday. Click on the link below to quiz yourself and see how you're doing! (Thanks, Mrs. Helman!)
