What A Wednesday!

It seems as if we get our coats off each morning, take a couple of breaths and we are loading our backpacks back up and saying goodbye!  Yikes!

Just a reminder that Science Expo is due on Monday!  Family homework (musical instruments) are due on February 25th.

LA: We had a busy morning.  We enjoyed burning some energy in gym first thing this morning and then coming back and working on our proofreading skills.  We're doing a fantastic job at easily recognizing appositives these days...it's wonderful!  We also found out that many of us still need to be studying and practicing our RIT words nightly.  We played a game today and there were a lot of unanswered questions because we weren't all prepared to answer the questions. We also worked on contractions during grammar and using our clues from the text to come up with an inference about the story.

HW: Weekly homework is due Friday.  There will also be a RIT quiz over the past 10 words on Friday.

Math: We learned about probability using a spinner today.  We had a lot of fun doing some experiments with different types of spinners and collecting data as a class.

HW: Math box and study link 7.11 are due tomorrow.  The Unit 7 test will be given on Tuesday.

Social Studies: (Woods) We finished up reading all the sections in chapter 8 today.  Our crop duster tour took us to Illinois and Minnesota.  We had a really great time pretending we were businesspeople who were trying to make a new mall design.

HW: Mall designs need to be finished by Friday.  A look ahead...the chapter 8 test will be given next Friday.
