Happy New Year!

It was so exciting to hear about everyone's holiday breaks today!  It sounds like everyone had a lot of fun and rest!

LA: We jumped back into the basal today, with our story, Snowflake Bently.  It was a lot of fun to learn all about the different kinds of snowflakes and how they are photographed.  I'm guessing we'll be able to test the theory before to long, according to the weather reports!  : /  We also worked on our grammar skill, of irregular verbs today and of course reviewed our vocabulary words for the week.

HW: We have no weekly homework this week due to the Wax Museum.  Don't forget that biography projects are due tomorrow and the Wax Museum will be held on Wednesday morning.

Math: We took our mid-year exam today.  I'm excited to take a look at them tonight to see where we go from here!

HW: None

Social Studies: (Woods) We started chapter 7 today, which has us working with the southeast and different kinds of maps related to elevation and geographic terms.

HW: None--A look ahead, due to the short chapter, our homeroom kids will be testing next Wednesday.
