We Were Wonderful In White!

We are in the middle of Red Ribbon Week! If you haven't taken the opportunity to start up a conversation about this very important topic with your child yet...now is the time!

LA: What a great morning! We were able to continue adding to our Vocabulary Vine word parts and also sort spelling words! We had the chance to see our Reading Buddies again after a week off last week! The play is going well, keep practicing those lines! Mrs. Slater visited once again with the third bullying session, she provides very interesting and thought provoking information! Ask your child about what they are learning during this time together. For writing today, students went through their writing starts and chose one they are going to publish. We discussed changing at least 5 words to make them better and fixing at least 3 sentences to help the organization of the piece.

HW: Fluency and flow is due on Friday. Check out the bright pink piece of paper that came home in folders today! We need some parent helpers on Friday for a variety of jobs!

Math: Students began to add and subtract decimals today. Some of us are still struggling with lining up the decimals...you can help us out by having your child add up money and prices in the store. Going out to eat? Have your child estimate the cost before the clerk gives you the ticket!

HW: Math boxes 4.3, 4.4 and Study Link 4.3 and 4.4

Health: We had our first Art Smart today. Thank you to Mrs. Demel for a fantastic presentation and to Mrs. Meyer, Mrs. Ohlson, Mrs. Drye, and Mrs. Iapalucci for helping out. We can't wait to see our artwork hung in the hallway!

Don't forget to wear blue tomorrow for Red Ribbon Week!

Slipper Day is Friday. Bring a donation to help us reach our $1,000 goal for the zoo.
