What a day!
LA: We had a fantastic time reviewing parts of speech by completing Mad Libs in groups today! The stories we created proved to be very funny and often didn't make sense! To finish up our review week, we also completed an art project that reviewed the four types of sentences. We also continued our review of Vocabulary Vine words by playing Bingo!
HW: Art project is due Monday if not completed in class today. Students should have a picture of a fall item in the middle on white square. On the outer colored square, they need to come up with four sentences about their item, each sentence being a different type.
Example: Picture of a butterfly-
Declarative: Look at the butterfly flying by.
Exclamatory: That butterfly is amazing!
Interrogative: Did you see that beautiful butterfly on the flower?
Imperative: Don't hurt that butterfly!
Math: We had review centers today. The students had a great time working on Tux Math on the computer, playing a game to review place value, Accelerated Math and finally a division game.
HW: None
Health: Students were able to share the next lesson with buddies today. They also completed a worksheet reviewing our vocabulary words.
HW: None
Don't forget tonight is the Fall Festival from 6:30-8:30. By the looks of the hallways, the committee has some amazing activities planned. Come for a great night out and win some super cool prizes!
