We're Off To A AShort Week

It's Tuesday already!

LA: We had a very quick morning today due to our double specials. Since we are done with our novel study, we jumped right back into the hard purple reading book this morning. Our story this week is called, "Goin' Someplace Special." We listened to it on CD and went over our vocabulary words very quickly. The vocabulary words for this week are: blurted, fare, permission, spectacular, scald, clenched, autograph, and chiseled. We also squeezed in time for our spelling pre-test.

HW: I Love To Read-Read In is tomorrow, bring your gear! Weekly homework packet is due Friday. Don't forget to read, read, read!

Math: Today was more about volume, area, perimeter and capacity. We did 4 pages together in class.

HW: Math boxes 9.9, 9.10, Study Link 9.9 and 9.10 are all due tomorrow. The unit 9 test will be given on Thursday of this week!

Social Studies: Ms. Grannan's class is having a great time learning about the 8 explorers that are discussed in this chapter. Today, as a class, we learned about Christopher Columbus and his expedition to the New World. Groups have been assigned a specific explorer to learn about and they will begin teaching the rest of the class tomorrow.

HW: None

Welcome to Jessie, who is a new student at Northpoint!
