Another Monday rolls around!
LA: We had a quick morning, with lots to do! We took our quiz for our novel study chapters, worked on some morning work which was a great review of important skills, did a bit of writing to go along with our novel and shared chapter 12 as well. We will be finishing up for book this week...there will be a quiz over chapters 10-12 tomorrow, one over 13-15 on Thursday and the final test on Friday. Don't forget, you should also be reading each night so we can accumulate a lot of minutes for our I Love To Read Challenge. Right now, Mrs. Suddarth's skier is in the lead, but I have no doubt that we can catch up.
HW: Chapter 12 comprehension questions, grammar activity 7 and vocabulary words are due tomorrow.
Math: Area, area, area! We explored and reviewed area of rectangles today. It was fun to put on our thinking caps and figure out the areas of non-traditional rectangular shapes as well.
HW: Page 312, Math box 9.4 & 9.5, as well as Study links 9.4 & 9.5 are due tomorrow.
Social Studies: It was fun learning about the three branches of government today. Students read an informational sheet and answered some questions regarding this. We also continued work on our states and capitals! Here are some links to some interesting looking games for review:
