Great American Shake Out!

If your child hasn't shared the Great American Shake Out news with you yet, be sure to ask them tonight.  Also-be on the lookout for Northpoint to show up on the news (FOX 28 or WSBT) tonight as we had coverage here during the earthquake drill this morning.

LA: We had a very short, but busy morning!  We started with music as normal and then moved right into chapter 11 in our novel study.  We also took our quiz over chapters 5-10, had the earthquake assembly and drill and then finished up work on chapter 11 skills.

HW: Comprehension questions 1-2, vocabulary (retorted, wary, disdainful, cascades, tuft and plodded) and the two imagery examples are due tomorrow.

Math: We had an extended math time today due to MAP testing by some other classes.  We were able to spend quite a bit of time reviewing adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers and geometry terms.  We also continued our work on volume.

HW: Math box and study link 11.6, integers and geometry worksheets are due tomorrow.

Social Studies: (Grannan) We continued on our tour of the West Region of the United States with stops in California and Washington.  We also completed an activity learning about the effect  the Columbia River has on the salmon in the area.

HW: Finish tour stop 6 activities...due Monday.
