Interesting Fact of the Day: The opposite sides of a dice cube always add up to seven.

LA: We are nearly finished with our novel, Maniac Magee.  I know that many of us are fighting the growing urge to read ahead and find out the ending.  Keep fighting!  Let's finish it together!  :)  Today, we talked about stereotypes, assumptions, conflicts, comparing and contrasting, characterizations, , drawing conclusions and making inferences.  We are also taking a time out from a new grammar skill this week to review plurals and possessives.

HW: Vocabulary quiz tomorrow over this chunk's three words.  The comprehension questions and journal entry are also due tomorrow.  We will be having a quiz over chapters 33-39 tomorrow.  The final test over Maniac Magee will be given on Thursday.

Math: We worked with partners to take a small sample and use it to make predictions of larger sets of data today.  We had a great time using percents and estimation.

HW: Math box and study link 6.6 are due tomorrow.

Social Studies: (Woods) We finished up reading about the Plymouth Colony today and the Pilgrims that settled there.  We also finished taking notes on the three different colonies in this chapter and filling out a Venn Diagram to compare them.

HW: None
