Thank you so much to all of the parents that took time out of their day to come join us at DARE Graduation this morning. I'm so proud of all of our students!
Interesting Fact of the Day: North Dakota has never had an earthquake.
LA: We had a shortened day today due to graduation, but were still able to make it through our next chunk of Maniac Magee. I'm continuously pleased with the discussions we're having about this book and the topics it covers. We're learning about tons of new figurative language terms, as well as reviewing many old ones. We also continued learning about plural and possessive nouns and how to tell the difference between the two.
HW: Finish comprehension questions and journal entry from this chunk of chapters. Don't forget about the spelling, grammar and vocabulary test that will be given tomorrow morning.
Math: We continued on learning about different ways of displaying data. Today, we matched data with line graphs and had to explain our reasoning for pairing the two together. This led to some great discussions.
HW: Math box and study link 6.4 are due tomorrow.
Social Studies: (Woods) We learned about Roanoke and Jamestown today and took notes in our Interactive Student Notebooks.
HW: The chapter 6 test will be given next Friday.
