March Madness!

Welcome back to school!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends.

LA~
Today we had IMC and Gym.  We came back to class and took our spelling pretest and then learned a lot about making judgments from our lesson with Mrs. Eggleston. Our comprehension skill for the week is evaluating what we read by making judgments.   Are the characters people you would like to be friends with?  Why or why not?   We also reviewed our vocabulary: selfish, bumbling, cranky, commotion, exasperated, specialty and famished.  Our vocabulary skill is antonyms. 

HW:  We DO have weekly homework this week!  RIT quiz will be given on Thursday.  Bubble gum writing is due tomorrow.
Our RIT words:
Memoir - a written account of events one has lived through; a limited autobiography
Moral - concerned with the principles of right and wrong rather than law or custom
Multi syllabic - Words with more than one syllable
Myth - an anonymous, traditional story that explains a natural phenonmenon, an aspect of human behavior, or a mysteroy of the universe.
Manual - a book that helps its readers to understand or use something.

Math~
Today, we worked on figuring out percentages of positive answers from our triva questions a few study links ago.

HW: Math boxes and study link 9.6 are due tomorrow.
Test alert:  There will be a test over unit 9 next Tuesday!


Social Studies: (Woods)We jumped on our big rig today to start the tour of the Southwest Region of the United States.  We had a lot of fun learning about the Hoover Dam, Phoenix, Arizona and Monument Valley.
