Welcome, December!

December sure arrived with a FLURRY of activity!  :)  Be sure to remember your snow gear...it looks like winter is here to stay!

LA: We had a great morning together.  We took a break from Frindle to complete a really fun writing activity with Mrs. Helman.  We spent quite a bit of time reviewing the importance of details to help create awesome imagery, we also reviewed a lot of plot, setting and character information as well.

HW: Quiz over chapters 1-3 in Frindle tomorrow--ch. 3 will be read and discussed before the quiz is given!  :)

Math: More long division practice today.  We spent another entire class period reviewing long division steps.

HW: The packet of division problems will be due at 1:10 tomorrow--if you don't think you can do it in class, be sure to work on it tonight.

Social Studies: (Woods) We climbed aboard the fishing troweler with Mr. Davis, our tour guide today.  We learned about places in Florida, Louisiana, West Virginia and Tennessee.  We had a lot of fun playing a survival game to give us a small idea of what the settlers in Jamestown went through.  We also tapped along to the music of the south after stopping in New Orleans!

HW: The letter written to "John" about his Jamestown visit is due on Friday.
