I hope everyone had a delightful three day weekend! I know I enjoyed my time off yesterday!
It seems the flu bug just won't leave! With all the illnesses that we seem to be sharing, please make sure your child is doing everything they can to stay healthy! Washing hands and dressing appropriately for recess are musts! We are also dangerously low on tissues and Clorox wipes if you can spare any!
LA: We had a very busy Tuesday morning in LA today! We had to cram a bunch of stuff in a little amount of time. We took our spelling pre-test, introduced our new story, Adelina's Whales, and started to learn about possessive pronouns.
HW: Fluency and flow is due Friday. There is no home school connection portion this week...however, there is an extra sheet that should be attached to the front F/F page that is also due Friday.
Math: Onto Unit 8 today! We began talking about perimeter and area. We also learned the difference between rough sketch drawings and scale drawings by architects! We spent quite a bit of time measuring the perimeter of our classroom as well.
HW: Journal page 238, math box 8.2 and study link 7.11 are all due tomorrow.
Health: We used our class time today working on our food guide pyramids.
HW: Bring in pictures of food for your F.G.P. Healthy Food Fair is on Thursday!
Don't forget we are still collecting Pennies for the Pennies for Peace project!
Planning a trip to the pet store??? Dr. Pepper is in need of bedding! He can use anything acceptable for chinchillas!
