LA: Our story this week, Kid Reporters At Work, is all about children who report news for Times for Kids! It's filled with great information! With this story, we are working on comparing and contrasting (ask your child to create a Venn Diagram for you!), words ending in ed and ing and our spelling skill this week focuses on soft c and g sounds as in ceiling and gentle. We also worked through more handwriting pages in preparation for the switch to all cursive in January! We squeezed in time for DEAR and read aloud as well!
HW: Fluency and Flow is due Friday. We are officially in crunch time regarding the reading treasure box projects-they are due this week! The AR test is also due this week.
Math: What do you do with the remainder? Should we keep it? Ignore it? Round It? Today is the day we talked all about it. We worked on number stories and how to handle the remainders today.
HW: Page 157, Math box 6.4 and Study link 6.4 are due tomorrow. Does anyone have the game, Battleship we can borrow? If so, we need them Wednesday, please!
Health: Are you a health consumer? We realized today that many of us are indeed!
HW: Chapter 3, lesson 4 check up, 1-3
Don't forget:
- Mini Mall business proposals are due on Wednesday!
- Family donations need to be brought in by Thursday so we can get a handle of where we are! They will be delivered to the families early next week!
