Dig Out Your Mittens!

The cold weather is here...and it might just be staying! Please be dressed accordingly...we will continue to go outside unless the windchill or temperatures are 0!

LA: What a great morning! We moved through quite a bit of information in our time together this morning. We started a new story, Dear Mr. Winston today. This is our last story in unit 2! With this story, we are learning about making inferences, base words and our spelling skill is words with air, are, ear, and ere. We also spent time reviewing plural nouns in grammar. We reviewed our grammar skills in computer lab as well as taking time to catch up on any Accelerated Reading tests that we needed to take! In writing, we are starting an alliteration alphabet book! Ask your child to give you some tongue twisters to try!

HW: Fluency and flow is due Friday. This week, there will be 7 sentences due for Words To Know, a parent signature is required on the spelling words section and an apology note needs to be written and turned in from one of the situations on the back. Assessments will be given on Friday as well! Alliteration alphabet books (sloppy copy) are due Wednesday. Last call for book orders...I'm calling it in tomorrow at 9:30!

Math: Today we spent the entire class reviewing for tomorrow's unit 4 test. Students were instructed to bring home the practice test as well as their "cheat sheet" of metric terms and conversions to study!

HW: Study for Unit 4 test, no notes can be used.

Health: Students took the chapter 3 test today.

HW: Tomorrow is the first day of Science with Ms. Grannan.

Reminder: PBA day is Wednesday! Sleep in or go out to breakfast! See you at 10:10!
Don't Forget that Dazzle's Craft Night is Thursday, plan to come make cute crafts with your kids!
