We're Back After An Internet Issue...
My apologies for not blogging yesterday, we were having a bit of an Internet issue...but we're back online and good to go!
LA: We had our MAP Math test first thing this morning. It was such a great feeling seeing the students take their time and do their best. These tests can be stressful...be sure to talk about personal best effort and test taking strategies at home. We also squeezed in time for reading buddies and centers before our day was done. The reading buddy play will be presented next Wednesday evening for parents...please plan to join us. In centers, we worked on a spelling page, working with context clues and reading our leveled readers that go with this story. It was a fantastic morning.
HW: Fluency and flow is due Friday, our normal assessments will also be given.
Math: We practiced more with our transparent mirrors today, and also worked with lines of symmetry in pictures and the alphabet.
HW: Math boxes 10.3, 10.4 and study links 10.3 and 10.4 are due tomorrow. Most students finished their packets in class, but just in case, we will also be going over these tomorrow as well.
Health: We spent a lot of time talking about just what our bodies do to protect us from infections and diseases today. We had a great discussion about our immune system and antibodies that our body is able to create to help keep us healthy.
HW: Quiz over sections 1-3 in chapter 5 will be given tomorrow.
