We're done with our wacky schedules for a bit now...back to normal tomorrow! Don't forget, we're still collecting canned and boxed food for the families who are less fortunate in our community!
LA: After coming back quite red in the face from gym (it was intense game of Sharks and Minnows, I'm told!) we jumped right into grammar. We reviewed plural vs. singular nouns and how to spell verbs the correct way to make the tenses appropriate for the subjects. We also did some more review of action verbs by challenging ourselves with overhead sentences. We finished off the morning some spelling work, Vocabulary Vine and a writing prompt.
HW: Weekly homework is due Friday. Handwriting pages 52-55 are due tomorrow. The next Vocabulary Vine quiz will be given on Tuesday. Study sheets were sent home today.
Math: We continued our work on metric conversions today. Our task had us measuring insect widths and converting them from centimeters to millimeters.
HW: Math boxes and study link 4.10 are due tomorrow. Unit 4 test will be given on Friday.
Social Studies: (Woods) We finished up reading all parts of chapter 4 today. We did a great project where we got to experience what it might be like to work in one of the first factories in the United States. Be sure to share about it at dinner tonight.
HW: Chapter 4 test will be given next Tuesday.
