It's Good To Be Back!

Thank you for all the well wishes while I was traveling to West Virginia this weekend for a family funeral. It's good to be back!

ISTEP+ day one is over! We have completed sessions 1 and 2, which were both in math. I am proud of the effort that all my math kids displayed during these tests. Please remember to double check your work in the test session that we are on if you finish before time is up!

LA: We had a very short time together due to ISTEP+ testing...please continue to work on your state letter when you have free time. We're hoping to get those mailed out by the end of the week.

Math: No math today other than ISTEP+ testing.

Social Studies: I loved coming back to the amazing bill boards that have been created trying to convince new Americans to come to their colonies. It was fun listening to the presentations and deciding where we would live if we were just moving to the new world.

We have ISTEP+ again tomorrow and Thursday. Remember to get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast, pack some gum and come to school ready to do your best.

Don't forget that tonight is the meeting at Discovery Middle School for parents and students.

Also--don't forget that if you have been chosen for a camp chaperone, we will be having a meeting next Tuesday morning at 8:00.

When Will Spring Be Here To Stay?

Yikes! It was a bit breezy out there at recess! I know Spring Break is over, but that doesn't mean it's always tropical outside...you might want to plan to bring a sweatshirt just in case...

LA: We worked on cause and effect along with more adjectives that compare today. We also spent time with partners reading our story.

HW: Weekly homework packet is due on Friday. We have Reading MAP testing on Thursday this week. Don't forget that your last 1-2 sources for your state float are also due on Thursday.

HW: 30 term quiz tomorrow. Unit 11 test will be given on Thursday!

Welcome Back!!!

I hope everyone had an amazing Spring Break! The kids were full of stories today...it was fun to live vicariously through their adventures so I can pretend that I didn't really stay here in Mishawaka, in the rain and snow :)

We have 7 weeks left...35 days...35 full days! We have so much coming up...please stay on top of dates, events and assessments that are going to be popping up before we know it!
