We Had A Turned Around Tuesday!

Another wacky schedule day...although it is nice to start our day with Math...

Math: Today we had MAP testing the entire class period. It was great to get a measure of how well we are doing!

HW: Yesterday's assigned homework is all due tomorrow.

LA: We got a lot done for a Tuesday! We reviewed important skills with our morning work, talked about comparing and contrasting and practiced the skill using a Venn diagram and our story for the week, and we also went over RIT words with definitions today. We also squeezed in some time to work on Published Books. Unfortunately, many students are coming home with Oops slips today because they didn't have parent signatures on page 1 of their Published Books. Please don't forget that nightly homework now includes going over the rough drafts and revising.

HW: Weekly homework packet is due on Friday. We will be going to the Planetarium tomorrow during our LA block of time. Page 3 of our Published Books are due on Thursday.

Social Studies: A lot of group work today. We worked through section 5.2 together as a class, reading all about Christopher Columbus before students broke up into groups to become experts on other explorers. We are going to be continuing this lesson tomorrow, as the groups will be presenting their information with the rest of the class.

HW: None

The Daddy/Daughter Dance that was scheduled for this Friday evening has been cancelled. Plan to join us at the Science Night hosted by the PTO on January 26! It's going to be a great evening of science experiments and fun!
